Dr. H's favorite injection is the "Queen of the B’s… B12. He uses the best active form of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin. Vitamin B12 is essential to growth, cell reproduction, as well as, red blood cell, nucleoprotein (chromosomes) and myelin (nerve) synthesis. It is used as a cofactor for methionine synthase to be able to convert homocysteine into methionine. Excess homocysteine causes cardiovascular damage. So it protects your heart and vascular system.

There are three ways to get appropriate nutrition: through foods, oral supplementation and finally, parenterally. Parenteral supplementation is by any path other than by mouth. It can be administered through injections that are subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenously. Most patients should be taking oral supplements, but some might need the parenteral form of administration because the absorption of oral vitamins, minerals, and other substances are not adequate for good health and recovery.
Under the new Idaho state law and rules, Chiropractic Physicians who have satisfied the additional requirements may obtain an additional license for certification in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Hollingsworth has completed all requirements and was the first Chiropractic Physician in Idaho to receive the Clinical Certification license to deliver vitamins, minerals and fluids through injections or intravenously (IV).
